Our company is dedicated to advancing the field of clinical and agricultural\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">diagnostics<\/span>\u00a0by developing innovative assays for fungal profiling<span lang=\"EN-US\">.<\/span><\/p><div class=\"synthetic-primers-steps\"><h4 class=\"synthetic-primers-steps-title\">Fungal infections are a rising concern in the field of medicine and agriculture<\/h4><p>Fungi are a significant component of the host microbiota and play a crucial role in disease develop<span lang=\"EN-US\">ment<\/span>.\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">D<\/span>iagnosing fungal infections is challenging due to the abundance of fungal species in complex microbial communities.\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">Moreover,\u00a0<\/span>microbiota analysis tools have been mainly developed for bacteria (e.g., targeting the 16S rRNA gene) and they often fall short if applied to fungal marker-gene-base<span lang=\"EN-US\">d<\/span>\u00a0investigations (i.e.,\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">full-length<\/span>\u00a0ribosomal operon including ITS regions)<span lang=\"EN-US\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Our aim is to\u00a0<\/span>enabl<span lang=\"EN-US\">e<\/span>\u00a0rapid<span lang=\"EN-US\">,<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span>accurate, and cost-effective\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">diagnostics assays for<\/span>\u00a0high-throughput sequencing technologies<span lang=\"EN-US\">.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">We<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span>us<span lang=\"EN-US\">e<\/span>\u00a0novel primers\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">for\u00a0<\/span>specimen preparation\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">for<\/span>\u00a0Nanopore\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">sequencing and\u00a0<\/span>bioinformatics tools to improve the sensitivity and specificity of our assays<span lang=\"EN-US\">. Current\u00a0<\/span>research\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">is<\/span>\u00a0focused on\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">grapevine\u00a0<\/span>myc<span lang=\"EN-US\">obiota<\/span>, including\u00a0<i>Botrytis cinerea<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Alternaria Alternate<\/i>, and\u00a0<i>Saccharoses<\/i>\u00a0(LC750323.1, LC749799.1, LC749799.1, LC743580.1). We use\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">full-length<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">r<\/span>ibosomal\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">o<\/span>peron (5800 bp) to generate valuable insights into diagnosing these fungal infections.
